It has been more than 40 years since a group of young men and women made their national television debut on the Andy Williams Show in the fall of 1962. That group, The New Christy Minstrels®, would go on to win a Grammy for their debut recording, "Presenting The New Christy Minstrels". They are still singing and delighting their fans, old and new. Original members who still appear with the group include Randy Sparks, Clarence Treat, Jackie Miller Davidson, Dolan Ellis, and Art Podell. Two very special new members are Becky Jo Benson, and Bill Boycott. Randy Sparks continues to write the music and direct the group. They have played to sold out performances at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto, CA, in Nov. 2007, the Cerritos Performing Arts Center in Cerritos, CA, in Nov. 2007, the Mountain Annie's Dinner Theatre in Ruidoso, NM, in Dec. 2007, the Sun Lakes Country Club private resort in Banning, CA, in Jan. 2008, the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, CA, in Jan. 2008, and the First Annual New Christy Minstrels' Salute to Hi Jolly in Quartzsite, AZ, in Jan. 2008.
